Kwan-Yin holds a lotus with both hands. Her long hair flows from a tiara over her shoulders and back. She and the elephant are both sumptuously attired in patterned fabric with coins, beads, and fringe, and both seem to be resting quietly.
Kwan-Yin is also be called Quan Yin, Guanyin, Guanshiyin, Quán Thế Âm, Phra Mae Kuan Eim, and there are a number of variations on the spelling.
